It’s giving tropical brunch meal! I remember the first time I made tacos, it was during the intense Covid period in 2020. I had just begun putting out food content, taking up food trends, and cooking everything I craved while also creating content out of my cravings…one of those days I craved tacos and decided to freestyle the cooking after watching a couple of videos on the “tube”. I wasn’t so familiar with some ingredients used, considering tacos have their origin in Mexico (I think), so I just thought to simply make one that might be familiar to my tastebuds. I made use of every main ingredient a traditional taco has, from the veggies to the shell, and there I went making a first-time super tasty taco; and I’ve been on that recipe for some years now.

If you care as much as I do for tacos, you might want to know one or more things I do differently while making tacos. I do not have specific measurements for this recipe, it’s more of a winging-it recipe, but I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it as you read down…if you don’t, please feel free to ask me any questions in the comment box down below. Now, let’s get into itttt!

INGREDIENTS

  • Taco shell (one of my specialties is that I love hacking things, the easy life yunno! So, I always buy oven-ready taco shells from my favorite shopping store).
  • Beef/chicken
  • Oyster sauce
  • Soy sauce
  • Avocado
  • Bell peppers
  • Fresh tomato
  • Olive oil/ Veg. oil
  • Cheese (I always like to use mozzarella, because of how pully it gets)
  • Spring onions

PROCEDURE

STEP 1: Prep all your ingredients, from vegetables to protein. To save time.

STEP 2: Drizzle oil and sauté your protein (I used beef) in a pan. I usually add a teaspoon or two of water for the beef to cook properly while I season the beef.

STEP 2: Season beef with a tsp of each oyster sauce and soy sauce. Add crushed peppers for more heat, and cover to simmer.

STEP 3: Taste protein to check for tenderness; and put out the stove letting the beef remain juicy.

STEP 4: Add all prepped ingredients to hot pan, and stir.

STEP 5: Grate cheese. I normally use a hand grater, it makes it easier for me to control the size of the cheese.

STEP 6: Now, it’s time to assemble;

Toast taco shells in an oven for 5-7 minutes

Out of the oven, place in the shell a spoonful of the beef + vegetable sauce…top with more fresh vegetables for more crunch

Spread cheese on each taco and place in the oven to melt (the best part fr!)

…and you are set to eat a juicy meal! I enjoyed mine with a glass of milk (I take milk alongside almost everything I eat, lol).
